I took a break from a topsy/turvy doll I'm working on to make more headpieces. Flowers are on my mind. Ophelia. Seeds of future possibilities. Cycles.
My new wheel broke. Only three skeins spun and I'm not sure I've had it two weeks yet. I work in a random way. My creative juices flow on the slant. I have several things in the process of being all at once. Felting. Spinning. Dying. Sewing. Writing. It's the only way I'm productive. I've learned to accept this as my process. Many seeds. Many flowers.
There is a certain look to my most current dolls & other fiber arts. I love how things come in waves. Inspirations and form. The way each set is its own season and everything of it has a thread of continuity. The headpieces, dolls, and yarn from this last month look related. It's a little bit of magic.
May the muse of beauty pour through your work and life.
Let the seeds sprout your story; freely, beautifully, artfully.
These headpieces are lightweight and held in with bobby-pins. The colorways and designs are all my own, as well as the felting and production, all by my hands. Each is One Of A Kind.
In my line they range from $33 to $63 US dollars and will be available through my ETSY shoppe, as well as locally here in Portland.
