These are some detail shots of projects that are on the home stretch.
The first photo is of a miter I bead embroidered (it needs it's trim to cover the edges) for a carved wooded Santos (antique glass eyes) with a niche and folk painted lover half, I was going to sell him and may in the future if I can part with him, he is absolutely fabulous in person and very much resembles an early piece (I can't bear the resin reproductions).
The next shot is of a Lovers Charm that is packed with auspicious roots and other goodies for a newlywed couples happy life together. I just love making lovers hearts, this one has a red brocade on the other side and is quite large.
The remaining shots are of the huge straw and wool stuffed doll that I have posted about earlier, she is almost ready for the post to take her away to her new home. She was inspired by the idea of early English wooden dolls but through a cloth lens. She is very period, yet there really are not examples of dolls like this from the period, so I call her an Early Court Rag Doll.
